CLIFTON STRINGER

Check out the first "song" on Clif's new record: Clifton Make Art [1.4MB]

Hi, this is Clifton Stringer. Thanks for looking at this page. Feed a mammal and it grows; that's what I always say, and boy is it possible to say it fast. Soon my album has recently been released, and it is way fun. It's called "art for the debut." You might understand when you see that the cover art is a watercolor that I did in high school. The album is way fun, with rock songs, punk songs, space age country numbers, an odd folky tune, and even some poetry about my one of my heros, Buckley the spacefaring ninja-poet. It's got intense rock songs, intense love songs, and intense songs about petting werewolves. Heck, the song "smile" has a metal breakdown that melted the titanium and iron walls we put up in the forest because of the noise curfew. Now that's extreme metal. And when the metal hardened again, it was nu-metal. Of course, the metal and the forest are purely symbolic. All metal is really a symbol, isn't it?
In addition to the album, recorded with the brilliant and young Travis Bannerman and with my close friend Greg Lynn cooking up a couple of spicy guitar solos, the band Clifton Stringer or the Something will be playing shows. So I hope you enjoy the album and the shows; I would feel honored if you would experience either or both. It's not space age trace music, but believe you me: we are living in the space age. And by that I mean space TOTALLY SURROUNDS the planet. TOTALLY. Word up for Judah Records, the only label with both a flying duck and abundant friendliness. I hope you're having a wonderful day, take care!!
